In recording this song, Kat drew inspiration from the soft rock that floated through the airwaves in the 1980s & '90s. This was written and recorded a few months after the sudden loss of her mother in early 2024 and is about moving through grief.

Go on, go on, go on and cry
There may be no stoppin’ the tears when they start
It’s gone, it’s gone, in the blink of an eye
I know you got good reason to protect your heart
I know you gotta hide away, baby
You’re hiding in plain sight
Go on and live again
I know you’re lonely from the pain you’re in
And that justifies stayin’
But it’s time to get goin’
There’s only one way that this river’s flowin’
You try to hide it but you end up losin’
Gotta keep movin’
And in time, you might talk about it
You don’t talk about it
Go on and live again
I know you’re lonely from the pain you’re in
And that justifies stayin’
But it’s time to get goin’
There’s only one way that this river’s flowin’
You try to hide it but you end up losin’
Gotta keep movin’
And in time, you might talk about it
Until then, go on and live again
